Aidan Irving MRICS

Aidan joined the business as co-owner at the beginning of 2026, re-joining Myles after they had worked together for almost eight years at Currie & Brown. In that time, Aidan and Myles worked together to successfully deliver several projects such as the Mary Anning wing at Lyme Regis Museum, the new Tarka Leisure Centre, and the extension to the Museum of Barnstaple & North Devon.

After graduating from the University of Greenwich in 2011, Aidan undertook a short placement at London quantity surveyor, Davis Langdon. After moving back to Devon, he worked for a local sub-contractor who at that point were working on several schemes across the country, in various sectors. After 18 months, Aidan joined a small consultancy in North Devon where he picked up experience in various sectors including education, social housing, and heritage.

In late 2014, he moved to Sweett Group (who would later become Currie & Brown in 2016). During his time there, Aidan developed his QS skills at both pre and post contract level and across many sectors, but with a focus on healthcare (the RD&E, Musgrove, RCHT), education (BCP Council, Somerset Council), and heritage (Council of the Isles of Scilly, North Devon Council). In addition, he has also worked on infrastructure projects, social housing, retail and commercial.

Away from project delivery, for the last two years, Aidan sat on the national healthcare sector group for Currie & Brown, liaising closely with the wider healthcare advisory teams across the business. He also was proactively involved in APC support for junior and graduate members of staff, and since 2024, is a qualified RICS APC Assessor, undertaking assessments on behalf of the Institution a couple of times a year.

Away from work, Aidan enjoys spending time with his young family and walking on the moors with his dogs. After hanging up his rugby boots, you might spot him turning out for the veteran’s team every now and then!
